Disable the Prefetcher (SSD/NVMe systems)

MemoryModerate riskReboot requiredReversible

Sets EnablePrefetcher = 0. The Prefetcher pre-loads boot and app pages based on past usage — a meaningful win on spinning disks, but near-pointless on SSD/NVMe where seek time is ~0. Pairs naturally with disabling SysMain (Superfetch): it stops the prefetch trace files from being written and read. Leave it ON if you still boot from a hard drive. Reboot required.
