Writes *ReceiveBuffers = 2048 into every network adapter instance. Larger receive-descriptor rings let the NIC absorb bigger bursts without dropping packets, improving throughput and smoothness under heavy inbound load. Trade-off (Expert): uses more non-paged pool RAM, and 2048 exceeds what some consumer NICs (e.g. many Realtek parts, max 512) support — those drivers clamp to their maximum or ignore the value; in rare cases an out-of-range ring size can make the adapter fail to start (revert via this app and reboot). Reboot to take effect. Fully reversible.
MaxTweaks applies this tweak with one click and snapshots your original setting first, so you can revert it cleanly at any time. A System Restore point is offered before batch changes, and every tweak links to its official source.
